CSFI CTI Student Internship Program (Unpaid)

In some circumstances, you may be required to submit additional documentation. If any of the following situations apply, submit the below documents:

  • 1st Semester Undergraduate Transfer/Graduate Students: Unofficial transcripts from previous school, Unofficial Transcripts from current school, and Official School Certification Form
  • If you are graduating before the program starts, you must provide proof of continuing your education to be eligible for the CSFI CTI Student Internship Program. You must submit these forms at the time of application: Unofficial Transcripts and Official School Certification Form
  • Veterans: Unofficial Transcripts, Official School Certification Form, and DD-214
  • Disabled Veterans: Unofficial Transcripts, Official School Certification Form, DD-214, SF-15, and VA letter dated 1991 or later

Eligibilities

To be eligible for the CSFI CTI Student Internship Program, students must be a U.S. Citizen or retain citizenship of a U.S. allied country, (NATO or Major Non-NATO Ally (MNNA)) have a 3.0 GPA or higher on a 4-point scale, and be a continuing student. If you are an international student, please utilize Scholaro to convert your GPA accurately.

If you do not meet these criteria, please do not continue as you are ineligible for this program.

If you are accepted into the CSFI CTI Student Internship Program, you will be required to submit a written report tailored to your selected section. These questions will be emailed to you prior to onboarding.

  • Delta: Iran & MENASWA

  • Echo: Malware Analysis

  • Foxtrot: Ransomware
    • Examine ransomware attacks, threat actors, and mitigation strategies. Perfect for interns passionate about stopping cyber extortion and staying ahead of evolving threats.
  • Golf: Vulnerabilities
    • Uncover hidden weaknesses in software and hardware. Study zero-day exploits, patch management, and vulnerability disclosure in action. Ideal for problem-solvers focused on defense.
  • Hotel: Cyber Law & Policy
    • Explore international cyber laws, regulations, and policy frameworks shaping the digital world. Perfect for interns interested in governance, ethics, and crafting the rules of tomorrow’s internet.

Unofficial Transcript: Please upload your unofficial school transcript. If you cannot obtain an unofficial school transcript, please upload the CSFI CTI Student Internship Program Official School Certification Form as a substitute. The form can be found above.

Cover Letter: Do not forget to provide a cover letter and mention your preferred team. In your cover letter, explain how you would contribute value to that team and what you hope to learn. This helps us make a better-informed decision regarding your overall selection. If you do not include a cover letter, your application will not be considered. Please limit your cover letter to one single-spaced page.
